TGIF, Uyo! 🎉 It is Friday — the most loved day of the working week. The boss is softer, the group chat is louder, and everybody is suddenly very interested in “what are we eating?” Before you log off for the weekend, here are some fresh, clean Friday delivery jokes to share with your office, your hostel, or your family WhatsApp group.
1. Casual Friday, properly
Office announces “Casual Friday.” On the video call, Uche is in a crisp shirt and tie. Below the camera: shorts and bathroom slippers. When the rider calls, he runs downstairs and the whole compound finally learns the truth. 🩴
2. Any other business?
It’s 4 p.m. on Friday. The chairman asks, “Any other business?” The silence in that room is so deep you can hear stomachs rumbling. Nobody has any other business. Everybody’s only business is lunch. 🤐
3. The weekend chef
Friday evening: “This weekend I’m cooking everything myself. Soup, stew, the works.”
Saturday, 2 p.m.: “Hello, iDeliver? Yes, one plate of jollof, and please hurry.” 👨🍳
4. The dog who thinks he paid
Every time the gate bell rings on Friday, the family dog jumps up, wags his tail and runs to the gate like he placed the order with his own wallet. He has never paid for a single plate. He has never missed a single delivery. 🐶🎉
5. The “I’ll just have water” friend
Friend: “I’m not hungry, I’ll just have water.”
Food arrives.
Same friend, ten minutes later, with half your chicken: “This one is not bad o.” 💧🍗
6. One plate becomes three
You order one plate of rice. Your phone rings: “I’m around your area, let me branch.” Then another call: “I’m with my cousin.” Somehow, by 1 p.m., your one-plate order has become a mini owambe. Friday multiplies everything except your money. 😂
7. The TGIF group chat
The office group chat at noon: 47 messages, 12 voice notes, 6 stickers, 0 decisions. Then one quiet colleague places the order. Within seconds: “Add me.” “Me too.” “Abeg, one for me.” Leadership is not talk. Leadership is ordering. 📱
8. “Five minutes away”
On Monday, “five minutes away” means five minutes. On Friday evening, with everyone in Uyo heading home at once, it means five Uyo minutes — a unit of time scientists are still trying to measure. Thankfully, the live map tells the truth. 🗺️
9. The family contact
A household orders so often that the rider is now saved in Mummy’s phone as “Our Person.” Last week she asked him to greet his mother. This week she asked when he is getting married. 🏍️❤️
10. Salary-day maths
The salary alert hasn’t entered yet, but the Friday cravings have already arrived and unpacked. The cravings did not get the memo. The cravings never get the memo. 💸
Have a sweet weekend, Uyo
