This week brought a story that every Nigerian who has ever waited at a motor park for a parcel will understand: a delivery-tech company and one of the country’s oldest transport names are working more closely to get goods from one city all the way to the customer’s doorstep. 🚌📦
That news is focused on Lagos for now, but the lesson lands right here in Uyo. Here is the gist, why it matters to you, and how to get your parcel — or your Saturday groceries — moving today.

What happened
According to a THISDAY report published on 21 October 2026, RUN Delivery is expanding its partnership with Young Shall Grow Transport. The two companies first formalised the arrangement in January 2025 and are now strengthening operations and preparing to scale it.
The split of work is simple:
- Young Shall Grow provides interstate transportation for shipments coordinated through RUN, using its established routes and terminals.
- RUN handles intrastate, pickup and last-mile delivery — initially in Lagos — connecting the long-distance trip with the final leg to the customer.
RUN’s CEO, Oluwaseun Akoyon, put it this way: “Nigeria’s logistics opportunity is not just about adding more vehicles. It is about connecting the infrastructure we already have, improving visibility and making delivery easier for businesses and customers.” Young Shall Grow’s CEO, Obiora Obianodo, said the partnership extends the company’s city-to-city connection “to the customer’s doorstep.”
Both companies say the next phase will focus on tighter coordination, shipment visibility and reliable end-to-end delivery, with the initial focus still on Lagos.
Why this matters to you in Uyo
Think about the last time somebody sent you something from another city. The bus arrived, and then the real wahala started: “Go to the park and pick it.” You take a keke, you wait, you call the driver three times, and you carry the bag home yourself. The long trip went well — it was the last few kilometres that cost you an afternoon.
That is exactly the gap this news is about. The big lesson is that the last mile is where customers feel delivery. A parcel is not “delivered” until it is in your hand, and you should be able to see where it is along the way.
It is also a reminder for Uyo businesses. If you sell online — clothes, food, cosmetics, gadgets — your customer does not care how far the item travelled. They care that it reaches their gate on time, in good condition, with somebody they can track.
How iDeliver handles the last mile in Uyo today
- Local parcels, door to door. Send a document, a food pack, a phone, or a bag from one part of Uyo to another without leaving your seat.
- Live tracking. You watch the rider move on the map — no “I’m almost there” guessing.
- Safe handoff. OTP at handoff when required, so your parcel goes to the right person.
- See the fare first. The delivery fee shows before you confirm, priced for the distance and the zone.
And because it is one app, the same rider network that moves your parcel also brings Meals, Groceries, Gadgets and Anything to your door.
Your Uyo action for today
Don’t just read about last-mile delivery — use it this Saturday. Here is the 3-step move:
- Open WhatsApp at wa.me/2349134448523 or the iDeliver app.
- Book a local parcel — that package that just arrived at the park, the dress for tomorrow’s owambe, or the food pack for your mum across town — from Nwaniba to UNIUYO to Ewet Housing.
- Or order your weekend groceries — let the same rider network bring the kitchen restock to your door today.
Drop a clear pin and a landmark, share the OTP when the rider arrives, and you are done. 🛵
